DESCRIPTION:
BMW R 80GS-R 100 R Repair Manual - PDF DOWNLOAD
Introduction
- This Workshop Manual is designed to ensure that all major maintenance and repair tasks are carried out with expertise and precision. When used consistently by workshop personnel, it serves as a valuable complement to the practical and theoretical knowledge provided by the BMW Service Training School, helping to maintain the high service quality standards required.
- A new edition will be issued whenever amendments or additions (supplements) are necessary. The sections affected by these updates will be clearly marked with the new issue date. Any outdated microfiches should be immediately destroyed to ensure the latest information is being used.
- All content, both in illustrations and descriptions, refers to standard production motorcycles or those equipped with Original BMW Accessories, and does not apply to motorcycles that have been modified in any way.
The Workshop Manual is organized in a logical sequence of tasks: removal, stripping down (dismantling), repair, assembly, installation.
The manual is divided into chapters, and each chapter is numbered for easy reference. Page numbering indicates the specific content within the chapter. For example:
- Chapter: 10
- Page Number within Chapter: (specific page)
Inspection and Maintenance Schedule
- The work that needs to be done during an inspection is laid out in an Inspection and Maintenance Schedule. The inspection tasks are organized into different levels, marked as Roman numerals: I, II, III. These same Roman numerals are used throughout the work descriptions to ensure that each task is completed in a continuous and logical order.
Special Tools and Service Information
- Whenever necessary, specific BMW special tools required for certain tasks will be mentioned in the work descriptions. Additionally, repair instructions may be released as Service Information bulletins, which will be incorporated into the next edition of the manual.
- We also recommend using the illustrated Parts microfiche as a supplementary source of information for detailed visual references.
