FOREWORD:

• This book is written to give the owner/operator necessary operating, routine servicing and preventive maintenance instructions for the Bobcat Loader. Read this manual thoroughly and become completely familiar with the machine before proceeding with operating and servicing.
• To locate desired section, place thumb on respective tab and flip pages until corresponding section tab is reached. For any additional information required, please refer to your Bobcat dealer.
• Maintenance which is beyond the scope of this manual should not be attempted by anyone other than qualified, authorized Melroe Dealer Servicing personnel.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

• Complete instructions for operating the Bobcat Loader safely and correctly are given on the following pages. Follow these instructions carefully.

SAFE LOADER OPERATION:

• Safe operation must always be first in mind and safety precautions must be observed when operating the loader. Study the safety items inside the front cover of this manual.

Listed below are some "Do's" which must be observed by the operator: 1. Use the safety steps when mounting or dismounting the loader (Fig. 1)2. Adjust the seat for comfort (Fig. 2), fasten seat belt and see that parking brake is locked before starting the engine (Fig. 3)3. Make sure that all controls are in neutral before starting the engine.4. Keep personnel away from work area when operating the loader.5. Fully lower the lift arms and bucket, stop the engine and set the parking brake before leaving the seat.
