Engine room interfaces, MTU – Third-party systems This manual describes the connection between all available interfaces on the engine and systems supplied by third-party manufacturers. The following connections must be established:

• Plant connector X51 on the Engine Interface Module• Power supply for EIM• Power supply(ies) for the starter(s) (for electric starting only)• If applicable: External starting air pressure sensor (for air starting only)• If applicable: External coolant level sensor (for external expansion tank only) Installation locations of the various interfaces The figure below shows the various interfaces and all other MTU devices installed on the engine.
