1.Secure unit in soft jaw vise or in holding fixture. Extreme caution must be used when using a vise to avoid distorting any parts or damaging the mounting pilot.
2.Loosen fasteners evenly with 5/16” internal hex socket or wrench.
3.Lift up on gear plate to remove cover and gear plate simultaneously.
With a paint pen or equivalent non-permanent marking device,
draw a line across the gears to ensure proper alignment on re-installation. Additionally draw a line across the body, gear plate, and cover for alignment during re-installation.
4.Remove gears as set aside. Take note of orientation of wear plate and set aside.
5.Remove old load, pre-load, and boundary seal from body.
6.Remove oil/shaft seal from opposite side of body.
